I think my new favorite phrase is “as I get older.” I use it all the time.
As I get older, I realize how much smarter and better the next generation is. If you’re between the ages of 15-25, I’m looking at you.
As I get older, I’m more optimistic.
As I get older, I’ve realized that I can choose who I listen to.
As I get older, I gravitate to people who try new things.
As I get older, I care more about getting it right, than being right.
As I get older, I’ve realized that long-term gains are much better than short-term gains. Which is ironic because I have less and less time.
As I get older, I know it’s better to approach all situations (especially crappy ones), with generosity and kindness. Maybe I’m not perfect at it, but I try my best.
As I get older, it’s better just to laugh.
Oh, isn’t that phrase so great? Reminding myself of the sweetness in life a superb way to end the day.
