My cousin emailed me a copy of a letter I wrote to her when I was a kid. I was living in Coos Bay, Oregon and she was living in an exotic city called San Jose, California.
I read the letter and cracked myself up. I thought it was hilarious and can totally see that same sense of humor in myself 35+ years later.
Dear Cousin Wuzzin Buzzin,
How dow cow are ya? Hope fine. (Just jokin) (Ha, Ha) (Just jokin agian). Ha, ha. Did you see that i spelt again wrong? Come soon. Write soon. On second thought, Don’t. Ha. ha.
Bye, Giyen Kim
My favorite joke is the one written in red felt pen – Harry Frogfoot. You’re supposed to read each bubble in order, and then turn the page as you go. It reads:
- Our hero.
- Now look at him this way.
- Look at him upside down.
- I just want to see the power I have in you.
It’s oddly comforting to realize that you haven’t changed that much over the years.
